Are you fully covered? Know Your Auto Insurance Policy Before an Accident Happens

If you have been in an accident, would you know exactly what is covered by your insurance?

You might think you are fully covered, but it is certainly worth double and triple-checking your policy. In the event an accident involves an uninsured driver, there is a chance you are not fully protected under your policy.

Uninsured drivers are more common than you think, as one in five motorists on the road are driving without coverage, according to the Sun Sentinel. When deciding on which insurance to go with, most drivers will opt for full-coverage, which protects against more than just accidents. Serious bodily harm might not be covered by no-fault or full-coverage insurance plans, and if you happen to collide with an uninsured driver, you will be financially responsible.

It is important to know your options and work with your insurance company to make sure you will not be paying big bucks for others. Uninsured motorist insurance would protect you in the event that this occurs.
