Farmer Jaffe Weissing sexual abuse attorney Adam Horowitz has filed yet another lawsuit alleging that Dr. Manuel Abreu sexually battered a woman he met through his duties as a doctor. In the latest lawsuit filed in Pinellas County, a female patient alleges that Dr. Manuel Abreu made inappropriate comments about her breasts, rubbed his erect penis on her as he examined her, and groped her breasts in a sexual manner. The incidents continued until she began bringing her fiancé to her appointments.
This is the sixth lawsuit involving similar reports of sexual battery by Dr. Abreu. Four of the lawsuit were filed by former patients. The other two lawsuits were filed by a medical assistant and a pharmaceutical sales representative. Three of the lawsuit were filed against his employer in Pinellas County, All Care Medical Consultants, based on alleged sexual battery in their Clearwater and St. Petersburg office. Another three lawsuit were filed in Palm Beach County arsing from alleged sexual battery at the offices of Personal Physician Care in Delray Beach. All of the incidents of sexual battery are alleged to have occurred between 2010 and 2014. According to public records, Dr. Abreu became licensed as a physcian in Florida in 2009. According to records received in the pending lawsuits and sworn testimony, Dr. Abreu continues to remain on staff and see patients at Delray Medical Center.
Dr. Manuel Abreu recently filed a bankruptcy petition in the Southern District of Florida. The lawsuits remain pending against his former employers, All Care Medical Consultants and Personal Physcian Care.
