Whistleblower Suits
Our attorneys are highly experienced and have been very successful in handling Whistleblower cases in state and federal courts. Some representative matters include:
- Record $1.42 billion dollar settlement for illegal off-label marketing of drugs. Gary Farmer was one of the originating attorneys in the landmark qui tam settlement of a whistleblower suit against Eli Lilly and its drug, Zyprexa.
- $520 million settlement of a whistleblower suit against pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca over the sale and marketing of its blockbuster psychiatric drug Seroquel. The firm disseminated a press release on the case. The U.S. Attorney General issued remarks about the settlement. The federal Department of Justice also announced the settlement. - Attorneys in our firm have also successfully handled qui tam cases against utilities and government human resource contracts resulting in multi-million-dollar recoveries whose results remain confidential.
We are currently prosecuting numerous qui tam whistleblower cases that are under seal and cannot be revealed or discussed in detail, but that cover a broad range of areas from military contracting to prescription drug benefits to fraudulent billing.
